I found this news article to be very unsettling. The fact that the unemployment rate has reached approximately 8.5%, the highest the nation has seen since the mid-eighties is quite troublesome. We are creeping closer the unemployment percentile that disrupted the nation in the great depression, although many feel that we may have hit rock, others are not as optimistic and job continues to make cuts, causing many to wonder, and worry.
This article made me feel depressed. I agree with Kate how unsettling the unemployment rate has increased. I'm currently looking for another job because I'm not happy with the one I currently have. Unfortunately hardly anyone is hiring and even cutting back on hours and holding hiring freezes. Hopefully we'll come out of this rut soon!
